Did I Work as Hard as I Could Tonight?
It is extremely important to do your best at all things in life. At APSC we respect this, and it is an important part of our club culture. We do not base our philosophy on a win now, immediate results-oriented thought process. It is more important to us that each child does the best they can and learns that hard work frequently yields success. At the end of your session, we want to hear a resounding YES to this question.
Was I a Good Teammate Tonight?
Being a good teammate comes in many forms. Sometimes an APSC offensive player will play defense for a night so their teammate could get a chance to try out a new position. Sometimes a player could dribble through many players, but instead tries to pass and set up teammates so everyone can be involved in the play. A good teammate encourages their team and doesn’t scold them for mistakes but offers advice so we can all learn from each other. Being a good teammate is a skill that is just as important as dribbling, passing and shooting. APSC wants every child to reflect on the days experience and say “Yes, I was a good teammate tonight!”
Did I Have Fun Tonight?
At the end of the day that’s what this is all really about. A fun, stress-free environment for kids to get outside, exercise and polish their skills. APSC encourages kindness, hard work, and friendships. Every kid should say “Yes!” without hesitation when asked if they had fun at soccer.
